i really enjoy what you're playing around with in that second set of sketches. they almost appear to be traced, but things are just a little bit too skewed for it to be so. nice! i particularly like the military man's decorations. what were these based off of?
and sorry that i've not been contributing in the past couple of days. this streptococcal fiasco has me feeling far too dizzy and aching to be of any use to anyone...let alone myself.
oh, and speaking of uselessness, i have absolutely zero suggestions for that first sketch. had you anything in mind? while short on ideas, i'm almost never without a ready opinion.
Sorry you're still sick. I hope you get better soon...but only so I can see some more of that great art. The sketches are from the old family album I told you about. As for the first, I didn't really have anything specific in mind. I just like the pose and composition too much to leave as a half-assed drawing.
thanks, jt. and i'm working on the whole getting better thing...
the pose/composition remind me of a paper doll. while that might be a bit too girly for you, i've always imagined making a paper doll with a series of outfits to be a really fun and potentially useful exercise. take that as you will. :o)

I love the sketches. They would make lovely notecards.
